Malaysia Meets Hong Kong In Round 2

22 September 2010, Khanty-Mansyisk, Siberia – Malaysia, the 86th ranked chess team, will meet the Hong Kong chess team, the 120th ranked team, in the 2nd round of the chess Olympiad 2010 with IM Mas on board 1, IM Mok plays on board 2, NM Tan Khai Boon on board 3 and FM Peter Long on board 4.

Meanwhile for the top five tables the team pairings are as follows:
On the first table is Ukraine, 2nd seeded team, meets Scotland, the 63rd ranked team; Russia 2, the 4th ranked team meets Venezuela on second table; Mongolia, the 66th ranked team meets the United States of America, the 9th ranked team on table no.3; the 11th ranked chess team, Israel, meets the Indonesia chess team, the 67th ranked team on table no. 4 and the Albanians, the 68th ranked team meets Poland, the 15th seeded chess team on table no. 5.
The 39th Chess Olympiad started on the 21st September 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk, the capital of Ugra region. There are 148 men’s teams and 114 women’s teams from 144 countries competing for the main trophy in team chess events. There are about 1,300 players from 144 countries throughout the world participating in this year’s chess Olympiad.
