DATCC Super Supreme Rapid Chess Weekender, 26th Sept 2010

4 September 2010, Kuala Lumpur – Here is a new chess tournament coming up after Hari Raya Aidil Fitri at the DATCC, 4th Floor, Wilayah Complex, Kuala Lumpur on the 26th September 2010.

26th September 2010 Sunday – Mark your calendar and make a date with us for DATCC Super Supreme Rapid Chess Weekender.

On the back of the previous three well supported rapid chess weekenders, DATCC will be organizing its 4th edition rapid event, notably the DATCC Super Supreme Rapid Chess Weekender, held as usual at our chess centre on Sunday, 26th September 2010, starting with player registration at 9:00am.
With 12 guaranteed cash prizes up for grabs, this will also be a nationally rated event allowing local chess enthusiasts the chance to earn National Rating points. We offer 5 main prizes in the Open category, as well as 1 prize each for the best Under -12, best Ladies, best Un-rated and 2 prizes each for those rated below 1400 and 1600.
The participation fee for the DATCC Super Supreme Rapid Chess Weekender is set at RM30 for adults and RM15 for children below 12 years of age.
As per previous events, this tournament shall be played over 7 rounds (using Swiss Pairing System) starting with player registration at 9:00am, with each round scheduled to begin at the hour starting from 10:00am and concluding by 6:00pm on the same day. Time control is set at 25 minutes per player per game played to the finish.
