Analysis of Game vs Sahir, 17ChessClub

On the 7th August 2009, firey rook had played Sahir of 17chessClub in the Shah Alam Chess League 2009 in Shah Alam, Selangor. The game played the French Opening where firey rook played white. It was a fairly balanced game. In the end, firey rook ran out of time. At move 15, firey rook took a long think and again at move 21. To stop the attack on the pawn at h2, the knight was positioned at e5, blocking the black's bishop at d6. Black had a strong control on the h2-b8 diagonal with the Black Queen at c7 providing pivotal support. In the end, Black was a pawn up and was slowly gaining ground. The endgame was a rook vs rook with fairly equal chances. Due to time constraints, the last few moves could not be recorded. However, firey rook append the analysis of the game using Fritz 11 below. Firey rook played on second board. Overall GiLoCatur Gambit lost against 17 Chess Club, 0-4, forfeiting on the fourth board due to insufficient players.

Liga Catur Shah Alam 2009 Sehingga Kini

LIGA CATUR SHAH ALAM 2009

Beberapa pasukan catur telah memasuki Liga Catur Shah Alam 2009 sejak bulan Jun 2009 lagi. Jadual di sebelah menunjukkan kedudukan keempat-empat pasukan yang telah menyertai liga catur ini yang bermain di Akademi Insofar Chess, Shah Alam, Tkt 3, Bangunan PKNS.

Kedudukan teratas di bolot oleh pasukan 17ChessClub dengan para pemain nya semua mempunyai National Rating. Sementara MyKasparov Declined menduduki tempat kedua yang mempunyai para pemain yang terdiri daripada tenaga pengajar Akademi Insofar Chess dan pasukan GiLoCatur Gambit yang diketuai oleh En. Saleh atau lebih dikenali dengan laman webnya GiLoCatur. Tempat terakhir di sandang oleh pasukan yang dipanggil "Fauzi Cheras".

Pada malam 7 Ogos 2009 lalu, pasukan 17ChessClub telah bermain dua kali. Match pertama melawan MyKasparov Declined dan Match Kedua melawan GiLoCatur Gambit. Namun pasukan GiLoCatur Gambit kekurangan pemain kerana beberapa pemainnya mempunyai hal keluarga dan sebagainya dan hanya menurunkan tiga pemain sahaja. Ketika firey rook tinggalkan tempat bermain, 17ChessClub telah mendahului 3-0 dengan papan pertama masih berentap. Papan pertama dimain oleh Khairul Azam Mastuki, firey rook dipapan kedua, Fauzi di papan ketiga dan pemberian forfeit kepada lawan di papan keempat.

Diharap pasukan "Fauzi Cheras" akan hadir pada minggu-minggu berikut untuk sama-sama habiskan liga catur dengan semangat kesukanan dan sportmanship yang baik. Bermainlah catur dengan tujuan meningkatkan tahap permainan masing-masing.
