The ninth and final round of the 1st DATCC Individual Weekender FIDE Rated 2010 will be played tomorrow on 1st February 2010, a Federal Terrritories public holiday in Kuala Lumpur.
In the lead is now Abdul Aziz Abdul Shukor with 6.5 points and Soon Wai Cheong with 6.0 points. And in joint third are Nor Ilhamuddin Shaik Ali and Justin Ong Way with 5.5 points each.

This information dropped in by email box tonight from En. Abdul Hamid Majid, the arbiter for the 1st DATCC Individual FIDE Rated Weekender 2010, the 7th round pairings for tomorrow morning, 31st January 2010.
The 6th round leader at the moment is none other than Nik Ahmad Farouqi with 5 points from six rounds of play. In joint second are Soon Wai Cheong, Nor Ilhamuddin Shaik Ali and Abdul Shukor Abdul Aziz, all with 4.5 points.
At last Haslindah Ruslan has managed to get herself off the bottom of the table with two wins today. Congrats to her for her gargantuan efforts! It is also strange to see two familiar names near the bottom. One is a blogger and the other a well known chess trainer. Well that is chess for you!
