25 June 2012, Kuala Lumpur – In Ipoh, Perak, the Datuk Bandar Ipoh Chess Open 2012 was held and the tournament was won by Fong Yit Ho with 6 points from 7 rounds of rapid play.

In second place, Fong Yit San with 6 points, in third, Ahmad Fadzil Nayan with 5 points and in fourth is Abdullah Che Hassan with 5 points and fifth, Mohd Johan Jamil, also with 5 points.

Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Dato Bandar Ipoh 2012

10 June 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Flyer and registration form for the upcoming Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Dato Bandar Ipoh 2012 for Open, U-16 and U-12 categories to be held in Ipoh, Perak on the 24th June 2012.

Jointly organised by Persatuan Catur Daerah Kintan and in collaboration with Classical Chess.

The major change is the playing venue which is now at Ipoh Town Hall along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab. And the addition of 20 hampers as lucky draw. The whole tournament is limited to the first 200 players only.

Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Dato Bandar Ipoh 2012

24 May 2012, Kuala Lumpur – A new tournament has been announced by Classical Chess in Perak. It will be held on the 24th June 2012 (Sunday) at Dewan Bandaraya Ipoh with 3 set categories, Open, Under-16 and Under-12.

It’s the “Kejohanan Catur Terbuka Dato Bandar Ipoh 2012”.
