Due to some difficulty in reading of the previous tables which were posted on fireyrook.blogspot.com, I have reposted the results with some improvements made to ensure the quality of the tables are readable by the participating players for their own personal perusal and information. Happy New Year 2010 to everyone!

NEW YEAR COUNTDOWN BLITZ RESULTS SUMMARY, 01 JANUARY 2010

Here is a better summary of the New Year Countdown Chess Blitz Summary of the 18 players that participated at the blitz tournament held at the Excel Chess Academy, OUG, Kuala Lumpur on the evening of the 31 December 2009 for the perusal and information of the participating players.

The recent New Year Countdown Blitz 2010 was held at the Excel Chess Academy, OUG, Kuala Lumpur on the evening of 31 December 2009. There were about 22 players all.

The winner was Muhd Nabil b Azman Hisham. Second was Abdullah Che Hassan and third Justin Ong Way.

Najib Wahab and Azhar Md Said assisted as arbiters for the event.

2010 New Year Countdown Blitz

New Year Countdown Blitz @ Excel

In celebrating the coming in of the new year 2010, Excel Chess Academy is organising a 2010 New Year Countdown Blitz chess tournament with the following details below:-

Venue	Excel Chess Academy 26A Jln Hujan Emas 4, OUG, KL.
Date	31st December 2009
Time	Come before 8.00pm. (The centre is open from 5pm onwards)
Time control	5 mins
Entrance fee	RM 20
Prize fund	90% of entrance fee will go into the prize fund.

All chess enthusiasts that are free and available for the evening are cordially invited to participate this blitz chess tournament at Excel Chess Academy.

The organiser is promising an additional air-condition unit will be installed on its premises for added comfort of participating players.
