29 July 2012, Kuala Lumpur – In Armenia, Hou Yifan of China won the Jermuk leg of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2012 event with 7 points, just pipping three other players comprising of Kosintseva, Lahno and Koneru on 6.5 points. Hou Yifan was declared the champion of Jermuk leg, 2nd  Nadezhda Kosintseva and third, Kateryna Lahno.

Wenjun, Yifan Joint Leaders At Jermuk FIDE GP 2012

 

26 July 2012, Kuala Lumpur – In Jermuk Armenia, Ju Wenjun and Hou Yifan are joint leaders with 5.5 points each after round 8 of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2012. Ju Wenjun of China drew against Munguntuul Batkhuyag of Mongolia and Hou Yifan of China playing catch-up won her round 8 game against Ruan Lufei of China.

Jermuk Kicks Off Women’s FIDE Grand Prix 2012

17th July 2012, Kuala Lumpur – In Jermuk, Armenia the fifth host of the Women’s FIDE Grand Prix 2012 would be taking place from 16th – 29th July 2012. The first round pairings indicate that Hou Yifan will meet Munguntuul Batkhuyag, while Danielian Elina will face local Armenian IM Mkrtchian Lilit. Koneru Humpy of India will have Zhao Xue of China in the first round.
