Pix 2. The position is quite balanced. Only that white is ahead by one pawn. On the queenside white has a pawn minority against black’s pawn majority and the Kingside white pawn majority against black minority pawn structure. Maybe Cramling was short on time. According to the moves, a two-fold repetition occurred at the end of the game. Maybe there were some rules infringement by Cramling during the end of the game. Puzzling to say the least!
Based on official reports from the official website, it is reported that Pia Cramling forgot to make the 40th white move and lost on time!!! Now that explains the peculiarities of the game!

Pix. 5. White has two options for checkmate, either Qg7# or Qh8#, irrespective of what black plays next. If black plays 25..Ng6, then 26,Qg7# or if 25.Bxd5, then 26.Qg7#.
The win by Baira is so devastating and a complete shutout of Pogonina, 2-0!. Baira Kovanova is the name to remember now.
