15 November 2010, Kuala Lumpur – In yesterday’s Harian Metro, there is an article on WFM Nur Najiha where she was interviewed in the paper and discussed about her future plans of becoming a future Women International Master or WIM.
WFM Nur Najiha recently represented Malaysia in the recent age-group World Youth Chess Championships 2010 in Porto Carras, Chalkidiki, Greece. Her other crowning achievements were winning the WFM title in Vietnam in 2009 in the ASEAN Age-Group, where she won two gold medals and winning the National Junior Chess title in Kuala Lumpur last year.
However, she has had good support from her parents. The father, Azman Hisham Che Doi, is an active local Malaysian chess player and he provides good technical chess support for his children.
