17 November 2010, Kuala Lumpur – Watched news on ASTRO Awani at 7.30 am this morning and discovered that Malaysian athletes in Asian Games, Guangzhou who are not in contention for medals were honouring the local Aidil Adha’ dates in China, which was yesterday, 16 November 2010, Tuesday.
As such fireyrook would infer the two losses in rounds 8 and 9 by both the Malaysian girls in chess due to this. Though not so sure about IM Mok.
All three losing in the final two rounds looks strange. At least one draw among the three is quite possible. But there you are, television news helps! ( Fireyrook was later informed that they did play during the two last rounds but lost real bad.)
