Here are some pictures on the first day of the Deepavali Rapid Chess (10.20.30) 2009 held at Excel Chess Academy, OUG, Kuala Lumpur on 17th October 2009.

Picture 3. Jax Tham, the tournament organiser, busy registering players and ensuring enough playing boards at the venue.
The tournament started at 9.35 am with some 44 boards played. A good turnout for the tournament.
