8 August 2010, Shah Alam – Muhd Syakir Shazmeer b Azhar won the 1st Cerdik Catur Chess Challenge 2010 beating 101 other participants to win the open category of the seven round chess rapid with 25 minutes time control.
Prizes were presented by the General Manager of the Sports Youth Complex, Section 7, Shah Alam.
