13 August 2010, Poland – GM Negi Parimarjan ended as joint second after winning against Mustafa Yilmaz of Turkey after the eighth round of the World Junior Chess Championship in Chotowa Czarna, Poland.
Negi had to work hard and the lady luck was on his side for once to get the full point from a seemingly drawn position. The Indian took his tally to 6 points out of a possible eight and is now trailed by top seed Dmitry Andreikin of Russia who inched to 6.5 points following a draw with compatriot Sanan Sugirov.
