8 July 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Kaushal Khandhar wins the Royal Selangor Open 2012 held earlier today at Bukit Kiara. He scored 6.5 points from seven rounds of rapid play. 49 players participated in the chess event.
Second was Lim Zhuo Ren with 6.5 points, third Sumant Subramaniam with 5.5 points, fourth Muhd Nabil Azman Hisham with 5.5 points and fifth, Jax Tham Tick Hong with 5.0 points.
