GM Wins Simul 3.5-1.5!

15 July 2010, Kuala Lumpur – Tonight at the DATCC, there were quite a few surprises for the Thursday night simultaneous against the GM Ziaur Rahman. Yeoh Li Tian (pix below)sprang the first surprise by beating the GM Ziaur Rahman, fair and square. Nor Ilhamuddin drew his game, meanwhile Yeoh Chin Seng and Ng6 lost their games.

In the last board, Yeap Eng Chiam lost on time to the GM Ziaur but GM Ziaur sportingly gave Yeap Eng Chiam an additional 15 minutes and Eng Chiam surprisingly won his game against the Malaysian-resident GM. If this counts as a win for Eng Chiam, then the overall score for the night should have read 2.5-2.5!

Quite a mixed night for the GM for tonight! GM Ziaur wins 3.5-1.5!
