15 October 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Latest UPSI Open: The tournament organisers have decided to increase the number of rounds from 7 to 8 as the number of participants is huge – 125.
Due to the increased number of rounds, the time control per player has been reduced to 45 minutes. This morning the first round started at 11 am and the fifth round had begun at 8 pm tonight.
The fourth round was reportedly lead by IM Mas Hafizulhelmi (pix above)after defeating Kamaludin Yusof.
