23 October 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia is participating in this year’s World Youth Under 16 Chess Olympiad being held in Kocaeli, Turkey. The Malaysian chess team is ranked 10th comprising of Wong Jianwen, Ajeet Singh Roshan, Yeap Eng Chiam, Lee Kah Meng Elgin and Yeoh Li Tian.
27 countries are participating and Russian chess team is ranked first with Malaysia ranked 10th.

Thanks for posting about the U16 team in Turkey. The boys are about 1000km away for the earthquake in another part of Turkey. So all is well on that front. However, some of the boys do not have their baggage when they disembarked at Antartuk airport in Istanbul. Hopefully, this problem will be solved quickly.
