Carlsen Leads In London Classic

Carlsen drew his third round game in London Classic Chess 2009. Eight pre-selected Grandmasters of chess are participating in this special group of classic chess in London from 8th-15th December 2009. Before this, Carlsen won both rounds 1 and 2 games against Vladimir Kramnik of Russia and Luke McShane of England, respectively.
Based on results up to round 3, Magnus Carlsen leads with 7 points. Followed by Kramnik in second place with 6 points; two wins from rounds 2 and 3. For games in the London Classic Chess, a win is 3 points; a draw, 1 point; and, a loss, zero points.

Today, Friday, 11th December 2009 is a rest day in the London Classic but will resume round 4 on Saturday, 12th December 2009.
The London Chess Classic 2009 is the  highest level tournament in London for 25 years and is the first in a series of events designed to increase enthusiasm for chess in the UK and promote the game and its undoubted educational benefits in schools and communities. It is also the objective of the organisers to bring the world championship to London in the Olympic year 2012.
