28 March 2012, Kuala Lumpur – The upcoming Melaka Chess Festival 2012 or called Melaka 750th Years International Chess Festival 2012  will comprise of three major tournaments from the 20th April until 1 May 2012. The details are as follows:-

1^st Event  :          Florencio Campomanes Memorial International Rapid Chess Championship (20 – 22 April 2012)

Prize Fund:        USD 20,000

Time:                25 minutes

Rounds:             11 rounds ( 2 days)

2^nd Event:         Historical Melaka  International Chess Event  (23-30 April)

Prize Fund:       RM 40,000

Time:              90 min+ 30 sec

Rounds:            9

3^rd Event:          Challenger (Below 2000 FIDE rating)- 23 -30 April

Prize Fund:       RM 10,000

Time:              90 min+ 30 sec

Rounds:           9

4th Event:         28 April 2012 - FREE DAY ( Local Chess Activity)
