9 Sep 2016, Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysia Chess Festival kicks start today at Mid Valley Hotel Kuala Lumpur with the ASTRO Rapid Team Chess Event 2016. The team event has traditionally been a popular event among chess players.

This year, 91 chess teams have registered and will be competing for top prizes in this team event. The team rapid chess event is being played over two days, today 9 Sep 2016 and tomorrow, 10 Sep 2016.
