15 February 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Last night Anton Korobov beat his eighth round opponent scoring the important one point, while on top board, both Bartel and Eljanov drew resulting in a three-way lead among Korobov, Bartel and Eljanov.
Tonight, Korobov meets Bartel on top board in the final ninth round to decide the winner and probably the championship title for the Aeroflot Open 2012, category A.
