Penang or Selangor?

3 June 2011, Kuala Lumpur – The MSSM chess competition is ongoing in Penang where the best of each state is competing to become the Overall Chess Champion State for all the age categories in 2011.

Malaysian Chess blogger reports that it looks like Penang is on course to dump Defending Champion Selangor to win the Overall title. Will KL do Selangor a big favour in Round 5 battle since KL is paired against Penang in several categories. While, KL has an outside chance in the Overall title race where their representatives in some Individual categories are not performing up to expectation.

Medal contenders or prediction by Malaysian Chess blogger as at 3rd June 2011, 2pm:-
Penang >> 4 (Gold), 2 (Silver), 2 (Bronze);
Selangor >> 3 (Gold), 3 (Silver), 3 (Bronze);
KL >> 2 (Gold), 3 (Silver), 2 (Bronze);
