Malaysia Chess Team Doing Well In Batumi

25 Sep 2018, Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysian chess teams Open and Women are settling in well in Batumi as the Chess Olympiad 2018 unfolds. The organisers have housed them in a five star hotel The Paragraph which also houses five other nations chess teams namely, South Africa, Mexico, Malta, Brazil and Qatar.

The Open Team have scored 0.5 vs 3.5 points against a strong Belarus team in the first round. While the women breezed to a 4-0 win over Djibouti. 

The Open Malaysian Chess Team will meet Afghanistan while the women will meet Turkey in the second round today.

The team has been having early morning walks after breakfast. Temperatures in Batumi are a cool 18-20 degrees Centigrade. We wish them well in the coming rounds of the Batumi Chess Olympiad 2018.
