22 January 2013, Kuala Lumpur – Chessvibes reported that it's clear that it was only for one day that Carlsen wasn't feeling too well - this was when he drew with Anand in a Petroff. He followed up with a win against Sokolov and a draw with Leko, and on Sunday the Norwegian showed once again what kind of chess he plays when he is full of energy. As John Saunders remarked, Carlsen is making the endgame cool!
Here is the round 8 game between Carlsen and Karjakin of the 75th Tata Steel Chess 2013, Grandmaster Group A, Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands. Carlsen won with white pieces.
