15th August 2013, Kuala Lumpur – The results of the AmBank Chess Challenge 2013 of round 8 just uploaded on the chess-results.com and indicates Largo Bengt of Philippines winning on top board against fellow Filipino, Ting Marvin M. Both players do not have FIDE ratings.
Incidentally, Largo Bengt, was in the winning chess team, Quezon City Chess Team, that won last year’s ASTRO Rapid Team 2012 event. Largo Bengt is now outright leader with 7.5 points while fellow Filipino, Lorena Carlo on second rank with 7.0 points.
In third position is Tan Eng Seong of Penang with 6.5 points, winning his third board game of round 8 against top seed, Erowan Masrin of Sabah.
