28 July 2011, Kuala Lumpur – Team Armenia won the World Team Championship 2011 in Ningbo, China edging out team China to second place. Armenia represented by Aronian, Akopian, Movsesian and Sargissian, scored 5 wins and 4 draws, ending with 14 points. Armenia drew their last match 2-2 against Ukraine and China won against Hungary, 2.5 – 1.5.
