Zhao Zong-Yuan Leads Into Round 9, BCC2013
20 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – In Pattaya, Thailand, Zhao of Australia beat GM Nigel Short on second board during the Bangkok Chess Club Open 2013 and emerges the new sole leader going into the last final round tomorrow with 7.0 points.
Hansen and Schebler drew on top board during round 8.

Hansen among three new leaders, BCC2013
19 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – At the end of the seventh round of the Bangkok Chess Championship 2013 in Pattaya, Thailand, three new leaders have emerged. Among them are GM Hansen Sune Berg of Denmark who defeated GM Antonio Rogelio Jr of Philippines on top board, GM Zhao of Australia and GM Schebler Gerhard of Germany.
Meanwhile IM Mas Hafizulhelmi of Malaysia has moved up the ranks to 23rd position with five points thus far. He beat IM Bijaoui Manuel of France as black.

Antonio Rogelio Jr sole leader at BCC 2013
18 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – In Pattaya, Thailand, the Bangkok Chess Championship 2013 has entered its sixth round today and at its completion, a new sole leader has emerged in GM Antonio Rogelio Jr of Philippines with 5.5 points. He won against GM Vajda Levente in the sixth round.
White played 52.Ndc5 and black resigned giving GM Antonio 5.5 points during the 6th round, BCC2013, Pattaya, Thailand.

For Malaysians, IM Mas Hafizulhelmi won his sixth round game, while Yeoh Li Tian drew his game. Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan of Malaysia won his game against Balasubramanian Akshaj, a player from India. Unfortunately for Wong Jianwen of Malaysia lost his game against China’s GM Gao Rui. While Ismail Ahmad won his game against Raja Harshit of India who is lower rated. Syazwan drew his game, Fong Yit San lost his sixth round game. Sri Shivar Kumar won his bottom of the table battle against a player from India.

17 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – After round four at the Bangkok Chess Championship 2013, three players are in the lead, Paragua of Philippines, Zhao of Australia and Saptarshi of India, all scoring four points each.

Thailand Open Chess Championship 2013
14th April 2013, Kuala Lumpur - The 13th Bangkok Chess Club Open 2013 and the Thailand Open Chess Championship 2013 is being held in Dusit Thani, Pattaya, Thailand from 14-21 April 2013. Some Malaysian chess players are participating including Wong Jianwen, Syazwan Zulkifli, Ahmad Fadil Nayan, Fong Yit San, Ms Lee Yin of KL, Ms Chon Yong of Penang and others.
