18 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – In Pattaya, Thailand, the Bangkok Chess Championship 2013 has entered its sixth round today and at its completion, a new sole leader has emerged in GM Antonio Rogelio Jr of Philippines with 5.5 points. He won against GM Vajda Levente in the sixth round.
White played 52.Ndc5 and black resigned giving GM Antonio 5.5 points during the 6th round, BCC2013, Pattaya, Thailand.

For Malaysians, IM Mas Hafizulhelmi won his sixth round game, while Yeoh Li Tian drew his game. Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan of Malaysia won his game against Balasubramanian Akshaj, a player from India. Unfortunately for Wong Jianwen of Malaysia lost his game against China’s GM Gao Rui. While Ismail Ahmad won his game against Raja Harshit of India who is lower rated. Syazwan drew his game, Fong Yit San lost his sixth round game. Sri Shivar Kumar won his bottom of the table battle against a player from India.
