28 April 2013, Kuala Lumpur – Wong Jianwen of Malaysia did the unthinkable by beating GM Fominyh in round 4 on top board of the Selangor Open 2013. Another important win for Jianwen who now has four full points, the same as another youngster, Fong Yit San. Yit San beat Aldrino Pardino on board two.
Meanwhile another Malaysian youngster, Mohd Nabil beat Villanueva of PHI on board 5.
