9 June 2012, Kuala Lumpur – In Kuala Terengganu, the MSSM Chess 2012 tournament took place from the 4th-8th June 2012 in the Stadium Negeri. For the Under-18 boys event, Wilayah Persekutuan took first place with 12 MP points (6 wins) from 6 rounds. The Wilayah Persekutuan U-18 boys team comprised of Yeap Eng Chiam, Tan Jun Feng, Liew Ken Yew and Fikri b Saleh (pix left).
Meanwhile in the U-18 girls team event, Selangor team won with the same 6 wins from 6 rounds or 12 MP points. The Selangor girls U-18 team comprised of Goh Xin Yen, Nurul Adlina bt Sulkifli, Zahidah Faqeeha bt Azmi, and Tan Shie Mei.
