10 June 2012, Kuala Lumpur – The Asian Amateur Championships 2012 was held in Sydney, Australia from 2nd-7th June 2012 and was won by Dale Ari (2061) of Australia with 8.0 points from 9 rounds. There were 26 participants in this year’s event.
Running concurrently as the Asian Amateur Championships were the Asian Seniors Championship 2012. This was won by Luchtmeijer Anthonie Pieter of Australia with 6.5 points from 9 rounds of play. 24 players participated in this event.
