4 January 2013, Kuala Lumpur – While most State Affiliations of Malaysian Chess Federation (MCF) were still in the throes of putting up their annual activities for the year, MCF has beaten the gun by organising an early NAG 2013 slated for 1-3 February 2013. It will be jointly organised by MCF, University Technology PETRONAS (UTP) and Persatuan Catur Negeri Perak.
Six categories of age groups involved with a 45 minute plus 30 sec increment as time control with a 8 rounds of play over three days at the University of Technology PETRONAS in Tronoh, Perak. Age categories and programme follows:-
