Shirov On Fire at Corus!

The world’s top chess players are converging at Corus, Wijk aan Zee in Holland for this year’s Corus chess tournament.
After four rounds, Alexei Shirov is 4/4, ahead of Hikaru Nakamura, Vassil Ivanchuk and Magnus Carlsen by one point. World Champion Anand, Viswanathan is two points back behind the leader.
Shirov has beaten Tiviakov, Caruana, Peter Leko and Jan Smeets in the last four rounds.

Wednesday is a rest day at Corus and play resumes on Thursday with Shirov slated to meet Van Wely, Loek to continue his dominance and maybe achieve 5/5.
