Gelfand’s Round 11 Win, FIDE GP London 2012

6 October 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Last Wednesday, GM Boris Gelfand made a decisive last round win over GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov of Azerbaijan. This round 11 win gave Gelfand an important 1.0 point and scored an equal 7 points with two other players, namely, Topalov and Mamedyarov. This resulted in a three-way tie for the win in FIDE Grand Prix London.

As there is no tie-break system enforced, all three players, Topalov, Gelfand and Mamedyarov are joint winners in London leg of the FIDE Grand Prix.
