NUS Wins GACC 2012

11 July 2012, Kuala Lumpur – The Grand Asia Chess Challenge 2012 ended yesterday with National University of Singapore (A) winning the overall title with 23 points.

Second, International Islamic University Malaysia (A) scoring 22.5 points and third was University Malaya, 22 points.

Alahakoon Isuru (pix above) of Sri Lanka won the individual event with 8 points. Second, Muhd Syazwan Zulkifli of UM with 7.5 points and third, Asian Master Ahmad Fadzil Nayan of IIUM with 7.0 points.

Best lady was Nor Atiqah Mohd Niza, UTEN with 5.5 points and runners-up best lady went to Ruby Kwan Tszee Yeung of UPSI with 5.0 points.
