Masrin Erowan Wins NC2012 Sabah Chess Selection

1 February 2012, Kuala Lumpur – Here are the final round results and final ranking of the recently held chess tournament in Kem Lok Kawi named NC2012 Sabah Chess Selection in conjunction with “Panglima 5 Brigade” Trophy Chess Championship 2012.

Mas Erowan (pix above – right) came out as the champion with 7 points from seven rounds. He beat 53 others to the winner’s rostrum and overcame Mohd Noh Anuk in the last final round. Second was National Master Mohd Kamal Abdullah with 6 points. He beat Abdul Sahim Wising on second board of the final 7th round. Third, Sulaiman Jamal with 5.5 points.
