30 Nov 2011, Kuala Lumpur - At the final day of the Asian Amateur Open 2011, Ahmad Fadzil Nayan has managed to stave off the challenge from Mohd Nabil by drawing the game. This means Fadzil scored 8.0 points from nine rounds of play. Mohd Nabil finishes with 7.0 points.
Meanwhile on board three, Yap Abel wins his game securing 7.0 points. Board 2 between Khair Wahiduddin and Md Aliuddin of Brunei was won by Md Aliuddin giving him 7 points.
Mooi Kok Onn Osric of Singapore also scored 7.0 points by winning the last game against Manaog Stewart of Philippines.
