Ian Udani, Mas Hafizul Leaders At UPSI Open 2011

16 October 2011, Kuala Lumpur – At the UPSI Chess Open in Tanjung Malim, Perak, the usual favorites were in the leading pack. Both Mas Hafizul (pix above) and Ian Udani had 6.5 points going into the last round 8. Last heard that both players won and there was a tie-breaker held. There were five rounds held yesterday and three rounds today. Yesterday the time control was 45 minutes per round and today the time control was 60 minutes.

Selective players before round 8 – Khairul Azam was at 4 points, Saleh Abd Latif (Gilocatur) also a 4.0 pointer, Fikri Saleh at 5.0 points. Camilia Johari at 5.0 points, Azman Hisyam Che Doi at 5.0 points, Mohd Nabil AH at 5.5 points, sister, Nur Nabila AH and sister Nur Najiha AH, both at 5.0 points. Tan Jun Feng at 4.0 points.Zaidan Zulkifli, Abdul Haq, Kamaluddin Yusof at 5.5 points, Mohd Huzairi Huzin UPSI at 4.0 points. Stonemaster – Mohd Fadli Zakari at 5.0 points.
