Malaysia Lost The First Round

22 September 2010, Khanty-Mansiysk, Siberia – The confirmatory results on chess-results.com indicate that Malaysia lost to the mighty English team comprising of four GMs, 0.5-3.5 during the first round of play at the Chess Olympiad 2010 being held in Siberia, Russia.

Malaysia now faces the Hong Kong chess team in the second round of play.

For the women’s team, Malaysia lost to Slovakia 0-4 against  one IM and three WGMs. The results below confirms this and Malaysia will now meet minnows, Ethiopian women’s chess team in the second round of the chess Olympiad 2010.
