Anand Retains Crown As World Champion!

12 May 2010 – Last night Anand went into an attacking mode as black against Topalov in the last 12th game of the series to decide the new World Chess Champion.

At the 56th move when black moved 56…Qg7, white resigned and results in an overall score of 6.5:5.5 in favour of Anand. Thus allowing Anand to retain the World Champion’s throne for the next term.
