The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also the Education Minister, has announced the reinstatement of the 11 sports in schools that were axed earlier by the Sports Ministry with an additional allocation of RM89 million. With this announcement over TV3 News at 8pm, 4th February 2010, chess in school program should be reinstated and long live chess in Malaysian School Sports Council or Majlis Sukan Sekolah-sekolah Malaysia (MSSM). Hooray!!
