New Chess Blog In Town!

There is a new chess blog in town and it’s address is as follows:

The blogger is Raymond Siew, Mark Siew’s father. He discusses his ups-and-downs as a parent to an aspiring, young and up-and-coming chess player, Mark Siew. The many sacrifices that as a parent has to make  to allow his son to succeed in the world of chess in Malaysia.

At the same time, he envisions that Malaysia’s first GM is possible with the cirlcle of the Malaysia’s round table of IMs and FMs to strategise together to groom younger and talented players to succeed beyond their own achievement. In the human resource realm, this would be a mentor-mentee relationship in collaboration, working together to achieve a common goal of getting Malaysia’s first GrandMaster in chess.
